Apple’s iPhone 11 came out a few weeks ago. There is a lot being said about the new phone and some are positive and some are negative. The feature that stands out the most is it’s new 3 camera setup.

I spoke with one person who has the iPhone 11, one person who has the iPhone X, and another person who has the iPhone 8. They gave me their opinion about the new phone.

“I think it’s better when talking about the camera because the quality is really nice,” says Inara Ali ’22 who has the iPhone 11, “Other than that it’s basically a glorified iPhone X”. Ali talks about it not being a huge difference because each phone gets the same upgrade as the iPhone 11. She wishes there would have been more features that would come with the phone. Also, she says the charger is a little different and she thinks it helps the battery charge better and have it longer-lasting.

Eric Chavez ’22 told me that he personally thinks that the new iPhone is a great accomplishment but kids don’t need to worry about getting the new phone. “Overall, in my opinion I think it’s a cool phone but I don’t think I will be getting it.” He talks about the price being the same as the iPhone XR. Chavez also says other companies like Samsung and Wuawei also have multiple cameras on their phones.

Nana Chong ’22 who has the iPhone X says, “I honestly think the iPhone 11 looks pretty cool”. She says that a lot of people think that it’s ugly and that they would never buy it. She disagrees saying, “They said that about the X and yet everyone has it”. Chong thinks that it looks the same and that there really isn’t a big difference between the iPhone 11 and iPhone X.

“I feel like it looks like a spider but if it makes the quality of the picture look better then it’s effective,” said Sydney Brammer ’22 who owns an iPhone 8.

From all the people I’ve interviewed, the popular opinion is it’s just the same as the iPhone X and that there isn’t a huge difference except for the camera.
