Dance Force performed their first performance of the 2021-2022 school year on Friday September 10th at Redwood’s annual Homecoming game.
Due to Covid-19 shutting down the schools for the year, Dance Force was unable to participate in the Redwood halftime shows.
Going back to school for the 2021-2022 school year, means that sports are able to return. Also meaning Dance Force is able to perform again too.
The dance team this year has worked really hard to be able to perform to the best of their ability.
Freshman Dance Force member Marileigh Coon ‘25, talked about her experience with her first Redwood halftime show. Saying that “It was definitely scary, especially since it was Homecoming… But after it all, it was really fun.”
Returning member Campbell Crites ‘23, says that the Homecoming halftime dance “felt great, it was really nice to be able to be performing in front of everyone, [and] have more spirit again.”
Paola Ramirez ‘22, says that “it went pretty [well], especially since we haven’t been able to do this for two years; and we worked really hard for it.”
Dance Force has their next big performance at Redwood’s annual Cowhide game.
For future performances, Mrs. Lapp the Dance Force teacher, says that they can always improve on “more precision in [their] routines, and better showmanship” and that they “definitely can always improve on those kinds of things.”
Redwood’s Dance Force continues to practice and perfect their routines, persistently entertaining Redwood.
