As Redwood and other schools across the country continue to do school via Zoom, the club, California Scholarship Federation (CSF) continues to strive.

CSF had their annual application drive during the last week of January, 2021.

The more time spent on Zoom, the more improvements the CSF team continues to make!

General Information

The CSF meetings are typically held once a month on Wednesdays. The two different types of meetings for the club: If a student’s last name starts with letters A-L, the meeting for that student to join is at 9:30 and the meeting for students with the last names starting with M-Z are held at 10:30.

If a student wants to be an active member of this club, it is important that they continue to go to these meetings once a month and participate in safely done community service opportunities.

Looking back on her years at Redwood and being in CSF for four straight years, CSF President Katherine Tejada ‘20 mentions that, “It has also been a huge semester of growth, perseverance, and even innovation for the club.”

CSF continues to push through these hard times only growing bigger and better, with over 400 members.

Advice From The President and Vice-President

Tejada encourages students who are seeking ways to get involved in their community and ways to find a rich academic environment to join CSF.

“Never leave an opportunity un-taken. Everything you do now helps you find your passions and develop who you are.”

CSF Vice-President Aya Aziz ‘21 also gave some very inspiring advice for students in high school. “Try and find a form of community service you like and dive right in, not to pad your resume, but to truly give back.”

“Especially in these hard times, it’s so gratifying and rewarding to reach out to others.” Aya Aziz
