Lunch in Arkansas is overall horrible. Kids are not allowed to leave campus, they do not have things like potato wedges, salads with the pretzel goldfish, parfaits, sandwiches, wraps, and apple juice. Students also do not have a separate store where students can buy things like sodas, tornadoes, ice cream, slushies , chips, brownies, cookies, none of that.
Everything they serve Students are healthy, such as wheat and organic products. They are given chicken sandwiches and burgers for a price of $3.50 but would be wrapped in a plastic bag and when you would go to eat them the buns are soggy. Breakfast is not free either, The only way you would be able to get free lunch is if you live in poverty.
The worst part about the lunch there is that you are not allowed to leave campus so students had to stay inside a little cafeteria the whole time. If we wanted to go outside we would have to stand in a certain spot. and if kids got caught leaving you would get suspended. I was surprised on how much freedom Redwood gives students for lunch because schools down in Arkansas are strict. In my opinion, I think lunch here is 20 times better.
