This past year, Redwood High School learned that they would be losing one of their favorite English teachers and CSF advisor. However, CSF will gain another amazing advisor, Mrs. Vieira.
Mrs. Vieira is an English 2 Honors teacher and an AP English Literature and Composition teacher.
Current CSF advisor and English 1 Honors teacher, Mrs. Cheatwood, says, “[I am] very confident in handing over CSF to Mrs. Vieira. [She] will continue the CSF traditions and add new ones.”
Vieira is excited to take over the CSF program.
Vieira said that being a CSF advisor was not something she had ever thought about. She says, “[I knew Cheatwood] was looking for someone to take CSF over because it is a program that she cares a lot about.”
Cheatwood wanted someone to, “carry forward with all the great work that she’s done,” Vieira says. So, at the beginning of this year, she talked to her husband, Mr. Vieira, and “he was super encouraging” in convincing her to take over CSF.
Cheatwood says, “Mrs. Vieira will update the club procedures through technology which is needed.” Vieira agrees that bringing CSF into a digital sphere will only benefit the program.
Cheatwood says, “There are some challenges ahead, but I know that CSF is in good hands!”
