Brooke Cox, ‘24, is one of 5 Dance Force Seniors who will be performing a solo at Redwood High School’s 2024 Dance Show, “Icons”.
With 13 years of dance training Cox is making her mark as one of the 2024 soloists.
Cox is a 4 year Dance Force member. She has played a large role in the growth of the team since her freshman year.
Not only is Cox an inspiration to the underclassmen dancers on the team, Cox says her “dance teacher, Ashley Slaughter, inspires [her] to dance.”
Cox says “My solo is called ‘Bound To You’ by Christina Aguilera.”
“She is an icon to me because she has acted in several of my favorite movies.”
“I have worked on this solo for the past 6 months. This dance is important to me because it allows me to show my emotions and make people feel what I’m feeling when I do this dance” says Cox.
Cox says “My solo in one word can be described as heavy-hearted.”
Cox will be performing her solo April 25, 26, & 27 2024, at the RHS Dance Show in LJ Williams Theater.
