Ty Potts ‘23 is a Senior on the Redwood Ranger Varsity football team, and has great things coming this season.

Running back Ty Potts ‘23 is experiencing great success so early in the season, 

Ty has an average of over 10 yards per game.

Potts says “This year I definitely have the ball more, it’s more fun and I hope to continue it”.

Ty says “ Our football season has definitely been fun, can’t wait for the rest”.

Potts ‘23 has been keeping active this past summer to better prepare him for his final Ranger season. Potts says “ I try to work pretty hard and practice the whole week, so that I know that I’m prepared for the game”.

Ty’s fellow teammates weighed in on how he’s impacted the team. Francisco Alvarez ‘23 says “ He is a really strong guy, so he helps a lot when we run the ball and he’s a big part of our run game”.

Jordan Nelsen ‘24 said “ He always works hard,hits hard, and makes a great teammate also always watches out for everybody, he makes a great player for our team”. Jordan also said “ He helps keep us all in line”.

It is apparent that Ty is also a good influence on the team as Hunter Buckles ‘24 says “ He always lifts spirits and helps us all out”. 

Francisco Alvarez ’23  says “ With him being a Senior he’s a good leader,he’s definitely a great influencer on our team”.

Francisco Alvarez ’23  says” We are a good team,but Ty definitely makes a good impact on our team”.

Fellow Senior Ranger, Jordan Nelsen ‘23, says “ Ty’s a very good player, great at blocking,then again he’s Ty Potts you can’t really replace Ty Potts. I love the kid and I hope we win Friday”.
