As you know, The Weeknd just came out with new music. Fans of The Weeknd have been waiting for music from him ever since 2016, when he came out with the studio album, “Starboy”.
In the year of 2019, he came out with the songs, “Lost in the Fire”, “Price On My Head”, “Power is Power”, “Heartless”, and “Blinding Lights”. There is no actual album, but the songs are all very great.
The genre he sings is contemporary R&B, and he started his music career about a decade ago, in 2010. At the young age of 29, he has already won three Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, nine Juno Awards, and has also been nominated for an Academy Award.
The Canadian artist posted his song, “Lost in the Fire”, January 11th of 2019. The second song he came out with in 2019 was Price On My Head, as a collaboration with NAV. He also collabed with Travis Scott and SZA to make his iconic song, “Power is Power”. “Heartless” is the next song he came out with in 2019.
One of his biggest fans, Jonathan Jimenez ’23 explained when asked why he loved The Weeknd, that he loves how the music makes him feel, “I can understand his emotions and put myself in his shoes because I feel the way he does, he’s not a perfect human but neither am I and so when he writes about that in his music I relate to it. I love his sound and how he is very genuine and how he stays secretive.” He also said that he loved how loyal he is to his fans.
I loved all the songs he made in 2019, “Heartless” being my absolute favorite. Me, like others cannot wait till his 2020 music album drops!
You can listen to this music on Spotify, Pandora, YouTube, iTunes music, Apple music, etc.
