Insight on the Top 5 nominees for Mrs. Ranger before they take on center stage.

Ortega was nominated by Avid and is heavily involved in Wrestling here at Redwood being one of her greatest passions. Hyped for the different spirit days throughout the week Ortega says “ My favorite dress up day is decades day because it’s comfortable and laidback and I get to rock my Jordans.” From her wrestling background, Ortega is strong-willed and determined. There is no doubt she won’t put up a fight.“ Ever since I was little I’ve always wanted to be a ranger and look where I am at now.” Says Ortega.
Villarreal was nominated by Interact club and during her time at Redwood she has made her mark in various areas such as FBLA, Yearbook, Journalism, Track and Field, and Wrestling. “ I think it goes into the aspect of being True, you have to be true to yourself, and others around you, be able to gain respect from others, and overall have friendly energy.” Says Villarreal. Her comedic personality always puts a smile on people’s faces. “My favorite dress-up day is Barbeque Dads’s vs Soccer Moms because I get to steal my dad’s clothes and walk around campus and see everyone laugh.” Says Villarreal.
Bahr was nominated by Ranger TV, she is involved in international dance, Varsity Soccer, Track, and FBLA. During Senior year, it’s very important to make the most out of it. and will soon be a memory to look back and reminisce upon. “I think being top 5 is super fun. I’m just kind of excited because it’s senior year, and to just overall have fun with it. I’m not there for the competition or anything like that, It’s light-hearted and just a fun time.” Being dedicated to Soccer growing up she got it in the bag to take on her favorite dress-up day. Literally. “My favorite dress-up day is probably going to be barbeque dad vs. soccer mom because I have all the stuff to be a soccer mom.”
Jenson was nominated by the Hair club, she is a dedicated 4-year member in both the cheer and dance program, 2 years in both Drama and FBLA, and has been a part of the Yoga club here at Redwood. Jenson eager to show off her school spirit says “I’m excited to get to spend time with the other nominees and dress in crazy outfits for the dress-up days.” Jenson having a role here on campus has taught her the importance of being a leader.“I think I portray a true Ranger because I would say I have a lot of leadership qualities, especially with being a captain for cheer. I really like being the person that people feel like they go to, like an older sister.” Says Jenson.
La was nominated by the National Honors Society. She is involved in Orchestra, FBLA, and CSF. La is a talented violinist who plays from the heart and is ready to shine on the stage. “ Im really excited to be able to be to perform my talent because I’ve put in a lot of hardwork into preparing for this moment.” Says La. Mr. and Mrs. Ranger is a chance to participate in our school spirit. “It’s a really honorable opportunity being able to participate in a tradition that has been carried on through generations.” Says La.
