Solomon Stahl ’20, is an aspiring actor here at Redwood. He is playing the role of “Tin Man” in the upcoming musical, The Wizard of Oz.
When his friend dragged him out to auditions he “wasn’t looking forward to it.” It was a very different thing that he wasn’t used to.
To Stahl, being an actor is hard work, when you have a job and have a lot of hard class at school. But for Solomon, getting “4 hours of sleep at night and juggling everything” was the way to go.
Stahl believes his character in the musical, the Tin Man, ‘is a hopeless romantic’ and knew that the other aspects of his character reflects how he is. Outside of school, he does many things than just going home to do homework.
He partakes in many other musicals with Tulare County Office of Education Theater Company (TCOE). With TCOE he is able to sing, dance, and act, to be able to express his creativity through theater.
Although he doesn’t want to take his acting into his future, he remembers each experience he’s had and is grateful for all of the memories he’s made and is glad that his friend made him try out for the first place.
Stahl, unlike many, looks up to the leads of past musicals and is grateful for them.
Solomon has a big future ahead of him and is looking forward to opening night of The Wizard Of Oz musical.
