Redwood’s girls tennis varsity team has a 172 match winning streak. Can they keep it going and become champions or will they lose it all?

According to Maddie Adams, ‘21, Karis Ramage, ‘20, and Claire Yang, ‘19, they are excited about the upcoming season both, individually and with the team. They have all set goals, and are ready to conquer them.

“My goals are to challenge myself, to continue to just get better, and just be a contributing member of the team,” says Adams. She wants to improve her skills and become a better tennis player.

Coach Lewis is ready to help the girls reach their full potential. “Our goals are always to compete to our best ability, win league, keep our streak going (172 straight matches), and do well in the postseason.”

The team may have lost three seniors from last year, but they are ready to practice harder and win more consecutive games. They kicked the season off with a win, against CVC. “I think that we are going to do really well this year…if we keep practicing and keep doing well, we will go out just fine,” says Yang. “It should be a really good season,” says Ramage.
