Tuesday, January 31st Varsity Girls Soccer played against Porterville at an away game.

Girls soccer has been practicing and training almost every day of the week to help prepare themselves.

Olivia Saenz ’23 and Natalie McDonell ’23 both say that their team is looking forward to this game.

McDonell says, “We’ve been watching film as a team and making sure strategy wise we’re at our best.”

“If we win this game against Porterville, we are guaranteed at least a share of the EYL championship which is a game we’ve been waiting for all season,” she says.

Saenz says that they have played this team team before in their first round in league and beat them, so they have an idea of what they’re getting into.

“I watch a lot of film from previous games we have played, looking at all of the good things and things that need improvement,” Saenz says.

“Everybody seems to be ready and excited to play which creates a great team atmosphere leading to the end of league play,” McDonell says.
