Redwood students are back in the student section at the Mineral King Bowl, but what are they wearing?

Friday, September 10, 2021 was Redwood’s Homecoming and first home varsity game. The student section was filled with Rangers decked out in blue and white.

The class of 2025 was able to attend their first ever football game as a Redwood Ranger and Rita Rasner, ‘25 says she went all out with “blue beads, [her] Ranger shirt, and paint on [her] face.”

Rasner mentions that at the next home game, she plans to add on to her outfit.

Samantha Brammer, ‘24 was also filled with joy to be part of the community and show her Redwood support.

Brammer says she “loves wearing [her] SuperFan shirt, because it makes [her] feel included in the Redwood family.”

As a sophomore due to Covid, Sophomore class President, Izek Nelson, ‘24 has not been able to take part in the full high school football game experience, until this year.

Nelson says that he thinks that “showing school spirit is important because it shows our pride for Redwood Rangers.” He also says that dressing out in gear “shows that [students] want to be a part of the Redwood community.”

A freshman, Lucas Lima feels that dressing up in Redwood gear at football games makes the game “a lot more fun.” Lima enjoys showing his pride because he believes showing support “helps the team win.”

As it was the first Homecoming back, returning students are more than excited to show support from the student section or on the track. This was the last Homecoming for many seniors and Dance Force’s very own Cambri Rodriguez, ‘22 supports Redwood by wearing her dance uniform.

Rodriguez says she also gets her school spirit supplies “on Amazon, but if it’s last minute [she runs] to Hobby Lobby to make DIYs.”

Students at Redwood are excited to get back into the stands and in their favorite Ranger gear. Students and staff are eager to be covered in spirit for the ‘Pink-Out’ home game on October 1.
