As clubs begin to adjust to the circumstances of online school,  FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) hosted their very first virtual meeting in order to establish their goals for the school year.

FLBA was founded in 1959 by Ms. Maxine White in order to help Redwood students gain knowledge in leadership and business. Redwood clubs are facing many challenges due to Covid-19, but this won’t stop FBLA from meeting and defending their section title.

FBLA might face some hardships due to Covid-19, but the Advisors and Officers are still excited to see familiar faces, along with newcomers, who want to participate in events and have the enthusiasm to defend the Redwood title.

Mrs. Moore, one of FBLA’s advisors says, “fantastic experience and creating a community,” is one of the main aspects of FBLA. Being able to create fun ways to compete, virtually, is their goal.

“[FBLA] gives opportunities to compete in leadership skills and connect with Redwood’s culture.” Donya Akhavon, class of ‘23, talks about great aspects of being a part of FBLA.

Redwood’s FBLA officers are excited about this year wanting to make this huge group of people come together and be a family, “All about connecting and making friendships at the center of the mission.” Alisha Shahroz 21′, one of FBLA’s officers, says about creating good relationships with those who are defending our section title.
