Seniors that were a part of Dance Force put on their jazz shoes for the last time, as they danced in their last Redwood Dance performance. This was very sad for many of the girls who had been four year members. It’s the end of their dancing careers at Redwood, but the beginning of their new dance experiences!
Being a part of the Dance Force team has positively altered these senior’s high school experiences. In Dance Force, you make many new friends, have lots of fun, and get to do what you love- dance! Many of the girls are even moving on to better things, as Nicole Brown, ’19, and Aurora Warren, ’19, plan to tryout for Fresno State’s dance squad!
Brown and Warren both started dancing when they were very young,”I’ve loved it ever since and never stopped and I don’t want to,” says Brown. They enjoy dancing because it’s a way to freely express themselves without speaking.
They describe their years on Dance Force as crazy. “There have been some ups and down, but it’s so much fun and I love all my girls on the team,” says Warren. Brown has enjoyed her whole experience and she highly suggests everyone to be in the dance program. “The best part about the team is how well we all bond,” says Warren to oncoming freshmen. The two girls leave behind the advice to not be shy and enjoy performing because it’s something not everyone can do.
The dance force is a great experience that can help dancers learn more moves, as they gain life-long friends. If you love dancing, the dance force is right for you!
