Redwood’s Choir has had many concerts in the past. The choir group isn’t just men, it’s both male and female, different ages here at Redwood. They practice at different times, but when it’s time to perform, they come together as one.

Mr. Carrillo, the choir teacher, has really taught choir pretty good. With Mr. Carillo’s help, their voices sound amazing together. With the help of his teaching the men were able to put on a good performance as always. The men always seem to put their best effort in every time they perform.

We’ve checked in with Men’s Choir, Joel Beltran, ‘19, states “Hearing everyone together in the choir room and realizing how hard we all wanted to work for, putting on a good performance it just embodies how much we do care about singing.” From their past performances they’ve grown and performed even better from the last time.

“Singing is a part of our lives, its a way of expression, something that’ll never leave us for our dying days.”

Joel Beltran, ’19

As you can tell, Redwood students in choir do enjoy what they do and how they perform. Men wear dressy pants, white button up and tie, while women wear black dresses.

Josue Jimenez, ‘19, states “Our last concert was pretty cool, it’s my first time being in choir. It was pretty fun, it wasn’t pretty in the beginning but it got beautiful in the end though.” Every time they perform they get better each time and grow together as one. Their voices just compliment each other when they perform.
