Brandon Woodrow ‘24 is the starting FS, the safety on varsity, and is also one of 5 captains.

When asked questions about his season he had a lot to say. When asked what the season looked like to him, he said, “I just want my team to win and see all my teammates excel and succeed as the season goes on.”

He pushes his team to play at their best and is proud of his teammates. Another question he got asked was “How will you push your team to success?” He said, “Yelling at my teammates will push them to do better. I will also push them in the weight room to motivate them and make them be the best version of themselves.”

Xavier Perez ‘24,  is another one of the captains and his position is OLB, the outside linebacker. When asked if he was excited about this season, he made some good points. “Our team looks good, our chemistry is so strong and will continue to get stronger as the season goes on.” He made it known that their chemistry that they have together is one of the main things to why they are the way they are.

A lot of athletes have rituals or habits before a game, and Perez is no different. He said, “Before every home game we go to senior court and all sit together and pray. It’s a way of getting everyone in the right mindset and to get ready to play.”

Kai Preisendorf ‘24, is also super excited about the 23-24 season. The positions that Kai plays are the DE, defensive end, the MLB, middle linebacker and the LS, long snapper. When asked if he was excited about this season he said, “I’m always excited for football season, if I wasn’t, I wouldn’t be playing. This is my last year and I want to make it memorable. Since it’s my last year I just have to go all out and prove what I can do.” I asked him what he does to push his team to success and he responded with, “There’s a lot of things that go into pushing the team. Making sure everyone has their grades and GPAs on point, making sure everyone is pushing themselves in practices, the weight room and especially games.”
