This Friday, December 2nd Varsity Boys Soccer is playing an away game against Harold S Young.
Boys Soccer has been training and focusing harder for this Friday’s game, hoping for a win.
With the two recent losses for Varsity, they are ready to bounce back and win this game.
With these losses on the player’s minds, they can stay focused and put in more work into their practices.
Will Kennedy ’23 and Andres Gutierrez ’24 both say that the team is prepared for Friday.
Kennedy, a third year varsity member, he says, “I have been working harder and focusing harder at practice.”
Kennedy has personally been running to train for the upcoming game, as long as watching the World Cup.
A two year varsity member, Andres Gutierrez says, “At practice we have been working on transitioning from defense to offense and from offense to defense.”
“Our defense isn’t good like last years so, that’s where we have to put in most of the work,” Gutierrez says.
Gutierrez says, “We are prepared for our tournament on Friday, we just have to give it our best because we have a target on our backs due to winning Valley last year.”
“Redwood Boys soccer don’t fear anyone we know what we are capable to do and we will show everyone what this program is about,” Gutierrez says.
