Coach Sharton is the Coach for the Redwood Ranger Varsity team, but hardly takes his backpack off and has people wondering what’s in his bag and why doesn’t he put it down.
A couple of Sharton’s players came in and gave us their thoughts on what they think is inside the backpack.
Ambrose Bueno ‘23 says “I overheard him, he told the referee he used to carry a laptop. I feel like he could also holds papers and plays”
Evan Gonzalez ‘23 says “He probably carries lots of tape, I don’t think he ever uses his backpack he just uses it for show”
Javion Richardson ‘25 says “I think he carries it probably for medical stuff and food”
Now they gave us their thoughts on why he doesn’t put it down and keeps it on
Ambrose Bueno ‘23 said, “I feel like every time he puts that backpack on he can never take it off like it’s his identity now.”
Evan Gonzalez ‘23 said “Just for the looks and show”
Javion Richardson ’25 says “Just in case someone gets hurt or injured he can help them and be right there”
To end the waiting, Coach Sharton says “For game day I have drinks, soda, and water, markers so I can make adjustments at halftime, my computer in there, wallet, keys, also my play sheets. Basically the things I can’t put in my pocket I keep in my backpack.”
Coach Sharton says “I do take it off, during the game but when I go off in halftime it’s on”
