Band Teacher, Mr. Ray, highlights his expectations for this coming year. He says, “my goals are pretty standard. I want kids to represent Redwood at the highest level.”
He shares that currently his band classes are working on building the best band to compete at state at all levels. He hopes that all 3 of his class levels will be accepted to play at state.
Ray adds that he wants kids to, “build a lifelong love for music.”
International Dance teacher, Mrs. Bardonnex, is excited for the year to come.
She says, “VAPA starting up after summer is one of my favorite elements of the year. I look forward to this and I love the challenge for new ideas.”
Bardonnex adds that she hopes that International Dance will have 4 dances in the Dance Show this year, and says “we have a lot of work to do.”
Drama teacher, Mrs Galvan, says, “We are still recovering from COVID with numbers and the way we do things and so my goal this year is to be 100% back to normal with getting more kids involved.”
Galvan says she is feeling a little behind but is still feeling confident as the planning for the fall play progresses.
Redwood’s VAPA staff carries a creative vision that is going to make this year great.
