On October 10th, 2025, Redwood High School went against Monache High School. Little girls age range from TK all the way up from eight grade, were cheering on the sidelines along side Redwood Cheer.
Ms. Myronee Diaz, the Redwood Cheer coach says that it was fun coaching up the little girls.

Ms. Diaz says, “I coach at the youth level, so it’s really great to see a lot of my youth kids here. This program is really successful, because we always have a lot of support, and so it’s really great to see the kids come back out here in and year out.”
Juliana Torres, ’26, is a cheerleader for Redwood, she says, “It’s honestly been a lot of fun. I think it’s so much fun getting to see them grow and learn all the dances, and just having a lot of fun with it,”
The practice with the little ones was an hour a day, Tuesday through Thursday. Jacqueline Schneider, ’26, says, “It’s been really good. They’ve been really enjoying it. I feel like they’ve been learning a lot from the older girls and it’s been a super fun experience,”
Practicing with little girls may be a little hard, “maybe with the little [ones], it’s been hard for them to keep up with choreo, but it’s, it’s been fun for everyone.” Says, Skylar Crisanto, ’26.
Ms. Diaz says that she think that the little girls are feeling amazing. She says, “They’ve just been so excited all week long, and this was just it for them. They love being out here with the big girls and doing the stunts and the cheering and all the things, and I think they have a fabulous time.”
Being a senior, Torres says that it’s so much fun being with the girls. “I think it really just shows how much, like, the little girls look up to, like, people like athletes and stuff like that, just because it kind of just shows like, [that how] our next generation is always watching us, and it kind of is just like a reminder to be good examples for them,”

Schneider says, “It makes me feel really happy to be inspiring our younger generation of cheerleaders, and it makes me really excited to see how many girls do want to be a part of this team in the future.”
“I enjoy it every year when they come out for us, and so it’s really fun,” Crisanto says.
The halftime show this year was the song, Soda Pop from the hit movie, K-Pop Demon Hunters. Ms. Diaz says, “They were so excited when we revealed the song. It’s so popular, that was just my first choice.”
“Go Redwood,” Says Torres.
