On a small booth on Club Day, representatives of Multi-Cultural Club gathered around and welcomed, for the first year, students to sign up. This club is open to students of any race, and the club advisers are excited to welcome their new members.
Neftaly Gonzalez, ’21 represents the Multi-Cultural Club. This club is welcoming a diverse group of students for the start of the 2019/2020 school year. Gonzalez wanted to bring a “positive change to Redwood in her own way,” and this is how she plans to do it. This club will be a “safe open space for students of all diversities to express their opinions”. This year Gonzalez hopes to create a strong basis for her club and she is still working out a schedule for meetings.
Jasmine Luna, ’22 joined the MultiCultural Club during Club Day at lunch. She is involved in many other clubs like CSF, FBLA, and Green Club. She and Gonzalez had teamed up over the summer and thought this club was a great idea to bring more diversity to Redwood clubs. Jasmine loves helping out her community and this club is bringing a change to Redwoods community. She is excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to meet new people being apart of this club.
Multi-cultural club adds more of a diversity to Redwood and is open to all students for a place for them to be themselves with other people from different backgrounds. Be sure to check the bulletin for upcoming meetings which will be held in room 70.
