At the start of the week during lunch in the Quad, students were able to sign up and compete in a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. This lasted on Monday, and Wednesday during lunch, and followed up on Friday.

Friday, May 3rd, the top Rangers from each grade compete against each other during the Battle Week Rally. The start of this battle was on Monday during lunch in the Quad. Wednesday was another day when Rangers could sign up and have fun playing the game.  

The judges this year are, Mr. Miller, Mr. Vieira, and Mr. Eskrigde. They get to watch everyone who plays in Rock, Paper, Scissors, and make the final say in who the winner for that round is. 

“It’s fun! It’s really Mr. Miller’s show I just help out when I’m able to.” Mr. Vieira says. 

Mr. Eskridge, one of the judges for the battle says, “I enjoy judging!  This is my second or third year.”

Each year during Battle of the Classes, Rock, Paper, Scissors is happening in the quad during lunch. The students that sign up get to have a fun experience and make new friends through the game. 

“My biggest hope is that the students participating have fun and that it inspires them to get even more connected to the awesome culture we have here at Redwood!” Mr. Eskridge says. 

Mr. Vieira says, “It’s always fun to see the kids react to winning the rally. It’s a fun tradition that Mr. Miller started and that the current ASB has continued.”

The winner of the first round of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Axl Menard ‘27 says, It was incredible, He did paper twice and I did scissors twice. It was really close, but nonetheless, it was a great experience and I had a blast!”
