As summer quickly approaches, Rangers begin planning for summer. Graduating Rangers are preparing for college. Many are moving for college this summer at different times, while other rangers are prepping for the next school year of high school.
I will be spending my summer working extra, going to Hawaii with some friends at the end of June, and moving out for college at the end of August to USD.
Megan Noronha, ’19, said, “This summer I have a lot of different plans along with getting ready to move out and go to UCSB. To start my summer I am gonna have my graduation party, go to Hawaii for the first time with some friends, and I am also spending my 18th birthday in Hawaii. Along with vacation, I am also gonna spend my summer babysitting to get some extra money. At some point during the summer I plan on going to Pismo for a little while as well.”
Izabelah Jauregui, ’19, is spending her summer traveling to Disneyland, New York, and working as well.
Many other students are spending their summer working. Summer is the time of year students are able to work full time to earn some extra money and get some extra hours at work.
Rangers also spend their summer going to COS and taking high school and college credit classes to open up their schedule for the school year.
Jessica Abarca, ’21, told me she was planning her summer doing school activities with FBLA. She will be going to FBLA Summit in June for being on the Central Section team. She is also spending her summer getting some classes out of the way at COS starting in July. Abarca will also be attending Korean Camp, which is a language camp where she will go there to learn Korean. Along with all her summer plans she is also prepping for the new school year.
Over the summer we will see many rangers traveling, working, moving out and taking classes. After the summer we will welcome new rangers onto campus.
