Jalon Wilkerson ’24 says,My dream colleges are Hawaii University, Coastal Carolina, or San Jose. It just made me feel like this is just one more step closer to a dream job than mine!”

“So I’m applying to BYU, but I’d say my dream college would be UCLA which I’m planning to go to after BYU. It wasn’t too big a deal, like for me because I’d been planning on it for a while, but it was a little weird that like I’ve grown up and I’m going to college after this year. So it was kind of surreal in a way.” Says, Jacob Abbott ‘24.

Senior Counselors are always ready to jump into action by helping our Seniors if they need any help with anything! Seniors have a loving and welcomed environment if they have any questions or need help with applications, our Redwood staff is here to help. If any students have questions or need help Mr. Hernandez is happy to help in the library on the second floor.

“My job is to help students through essentially finding, their college or career options, whatever that may look like. If they need help with, UCCSU private applications, COS applications, or any other community college, I can help them with that.” Says Mr. Hernandez a College and Career Ambassador.

Mr. Motto is the senior counselor for students A-K and is reminding students that they should submit their applications by November 30th. It’s great seeing senior counselors helping students with taking a step further in life. He says, “The target is usually November 30th for our students that are looking at going to a four-year college right out of high school.”

It’s good that seniors have thought about their future to be prepared for college, and yet it is unreal to watch students grow up and enter adulthood that is just one step away. Starting out as tiny Freshmen, to become powerful Seniors, Ranges has really put their heart and soul into these past four years.

Bailey Burdick ’24 says, “It’s been really good. We have a really good community and it’s just terrifying to think that I gotta go to a new place and start all over again, make new friends and all that stuff.”

Abbott says, “I feel like I’ve grown a lot and, I’ve done so many like extracurriculars and been so busy that I’ve learned to be more mature and just growing up. I think it’s given me a better work ethic, like how I started with barely any work ethic. And now I work so hard and I know it pays off!”
