The section tournament includes schools from all over the Central Valley from Modesto to Delano.

Linda Herrera ‘24 says, “The purpose of the section is to showcase member’s skills… It’s also so fun to meet other people from this area.”

Rangers value the hard work and dedication that goes into a skill. It is not just about academic growth but personal growth and development. Mr. Avila, FBLA and Business teacher says, “We’re excited to see the kids compete… The best part is seeing them win an award.”

Sections is an amazing opportunity for students and schools to participate in school matters and to learn more about the business world. The annual event is a mix of fun and competition, which also motivates students for future

Jacob Hutchinson ‘24 the Vice President of Activities is not only attending but also plays a role in putting together the event with a mix of hope and pride. For Rangers, this conference is not just an event, but one where leadership comes in.

Hutchinson says, “The leadership conference is a great experience. It is always a lot of fun. I’ll be helping run the conference excited to see all my friends placed on this action stage and excited to participate in my events as well.”

Rangers now have more opportunities and options to choose for their careers from FBLA.  The competitive activities helped in the knowledge and learning skills of Rangers.

“It has just provided me more opportunities and more outlets to be able to explore what I want to do in the future I want to be a lawyer and so there are competitive events that I’ve been able to participate in that have helped me kind of gain my knowledge,” says Chloe Seals ’25

Along with the push to explore academically, FBLA has pushed students to reach out and communicate with others. Networking allows students to learn more about other chapters and learn new information to improve themselves.

“My most memorable FBLA moment was freshman year when I went to the state event. There was a pool party and it was amazing because it was like all the different chapters from around California that participated in the full party.”
