Redwood students share their feelings and experience at the latest school dance, Harvest.

On September 24th the annual Harvest dance for all four high schools in Visalia was held. Redwood Rangers were able to spend time with peers and enjoy the first Harvest in two years.

Vanessa Robles ‘26 says, “It was really good, being one of the first official dances, and having all four high schools going. I was really nervous knowing that there were going to be a lot of people, but it was actually really fun!”

All four high schools coming together allowed for students to socialize with people from other schools and also make some new friends. Students were able to dance with friends and take pictures at the photo booth.

Mateo Alonzo ‘24 says, “I met a couple of kids from Mt. Whitney and El Diamante and found out that they also play baseball, and we were just having a good time dancing to music.

Miles Largoza ‘23 says, “I got to see friends from other schools that I don’t get to see as often and got to get to know them a little better.” This event was a great opportunity for people to reconnect with friends they haven’t seen in quite a while.

The dance was full of various activities for students. They were able to dance with friends and take pictures at the photo booth.

Alonzo says, “I enjoyed it, everybody was having a good time dancing, there was a lot of supervision so nothing got too crazy. “

Due to the minor complications there was a minor pause but the dance still continued and students went back into the groove like nothing happened.

Dane Alfano ‘26 says, “I enjoyed it, someone rang the fire alarm at the end so that was kinda weird, but I was just focused on my friends and hanging out with them.”
