On Thursday, February 13th, Redwood Baseball hosted their second game of the season against Central High School.
Rangers fell 10-4 to the Grizzlies after a hard fought 7 inning game. Ethan Garcia, '21, and Daryl Tillman, '23, split time pitching but struggled against Central's offense.
The Rangers' four runs came from Diego Alvarado, Dakota Brown, and Matthew Ramirez, all in the first inning to give them an early 3-0 lead.
The next inning Central scored four runs.
In the 5th inning, Brown was able to score off Lee Trevino's pop up RBI after his 2nd base hit to tie the game 4-4.
In the final inning, Central rallied 7 runs and Redwood was not able to answer.
The team is young but will hopefully bounce back from the 8-1 loss to Clovis North earlier this week and this game.
Redwood's next game will be this Saturday, February 15th at 11am at Clovis High School.
