There are so many clubs here at Redwood and there are always more being added. Ainsley Chamberlin ’21, Riley Bramble ’21, Sydney Somavia ’21, Kaiya Thompson ’21, and Kelsey Konishi ’21, came together and started a lacrosse club. Konishi says that, “One day we were talking about how we wanted to start something. and Ainsley came up with Lacrosse and we all were so in!”

The main goal for the club is to create a fun atmosphere for anyone to be apart of while being able to play a fun and competitive game while making new friends. Another plan the club has in place is fundraising first to buy the equipment and then plan days to learn and play the game. And at the end of the year, we want to go to a Fresno State Lacrosse game!” says Konishi.

One thing that the group members want everyone to know is that,

“even if you haven’t ever played lacrosse before, it’s totally okay. We just want everyone to enjoy themselves while learning something new and meeting new people as well.”

– Kelsey Konishi ’21

One thing the founders of the club plan to do to raise awareness of this new and exciting club is sell some t-shirts. Once the lacrosse club starts fundraising and getting equipment, they want people to become more involved at school through the little scrimmages they arrange.

If anyone is even mildly interested in lacrosse club they should sign up. The whole point of this club, and others, is to just have fun! The remind is @laxredwood .
