Kaylee Gallardo, ’19, is nominated for Homecoming Queen. She is being escorted by Anirudh Nakak, ’19, and the two are very excited for this Friday. Here is an in depth interview of the nominee:

Q:What club nominated you?
A: Ranger TV nominated me.

Q:What did you do get nominated?
A: To get nominated I edited videos, I made videos, and I have helped other students how to do things so I feel like that was a huge impact on me being a nominee for Ranger TV.

Q:What was your reaction when they called your name?
A: When they called my name I was really shocked and so was my escort and we were not suspecting because there were so many other girls that could of made it.

Q:What do you want people to know about you?
A: I’m involved with Ranger TV and was also in varsity cheer during my freshman and sophomore year. I try to dress up and be involved as much as I can because I mainly do Ranger TV and I go to every game to take pictures.

Q:What does it mean to be top five?
A: To me being top five is a really big thing, it’s a huge deal and a big responsibility because I wasn’t only nominated by Ranger TV’s senior class but also they voted for me so that’s something to look up to.

Q:What would you do if you win homecoming queen?
A: If I won Homecoming Queen I would feel really shocked because the other four girls are very social as well and are also involved and I feel like I have a big competition.

Q:What would it mean to you if you won?
A: It would be a really big honor to win and it would be a really cool and fun experience.

Q:If you win what would you want everyone to leave with?
A: If I won I would want people to know that being Homecoming Queen wasn’t handed to me and to show other people that you can receive this too even if they aren’t that social because it’s not just the popular people and that anyone can do it.

Kaylee Gallardo shows great school spirit and is very involved with the school she loves. She would be honored in being Redwood High School’s 2018 Homecoming Queen. You can vote for her on Friday and make sure to go to the Homecoming Game this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Mineral King Bowl. During halftime, the 2018 Homecoming Queen will be crowned!
