To Netflix which is centered around the original series Kakegurui has a new spin off called Kakegurui Twin The original series Kakegurui is based on a new student, named Yumeko Jabami, who moved to a gambiling school and befriends the main character in Kakegurui Twin. Both girls become friends by exploring the world of gambling within their school.
While I really enjoyed the first series I was quite pleased with the new story that the writers developed. After watching the spin off I feel that it compliments the original story and at the same time we get to know Mary’s character a little better.
The animations were also different which made it fun to watch. The colors and characters were very eye catching and brought you into the story even more. This also helped bring the story to life for me.
The show really had an interesting story line because it’s based more on, Mary, the main character’s life. Her personality is really shown in this series which I find really exciting since Mary is one of my favorite characters. We get to see her in a different light which is why the series is so dynamic.
What really made me want to watch this show was that I read the manga and watched the original series, I obviously wanted to watch the spin off because I really thought I would enjoy it. To no surprise I did and it was overall a really great show. I am anticipating that they have a second season so that I can see the characters continue to grow along with the storyline.
