With the annual Redwood Dance Show fast approaching, students are scrambling to prepare for the big performance. The dance show is RHS Dance Super Bowl Halftimes and is on April 26, 27, & 28 in the LJ Williams Theater at 7 pm.

Introduction to Dance is one of the many dance classes Redwood offers. Mrs. Bardonnex teaches her intro students all about the basics of dance.

Callie Shepard, ’26

Callie Shepard, ‘26, says Intro to Dance is preparing for the Dance Show by “We are just going through it, we’re cleaning up a lot of stuff, and we’re really making sure that we’re super strong for the show.”

Kai Korsgaden, ‘26 says Intro has been “preparing by continuously practicing every day.”

Gisselle Mendoza, ‘26, says preparing for the Dance Show is “a bit stressful but it’s going really well and we have everything down from practicing every day”

Shepard says she’s “excited to see everyone else’s dances.” Shepard knows that “everyone has really been putting in a lot of work for the dance, which is really exciting.”

Shepard adds that preparing for Dance Show has taught her a lot about patience. She says the Dance Show is “going to go really well, especially with the dances I have seen, it’s super fun and super upbeat.”
