One of Redwood’s dance classes, “International Dance” has been working very hard for many of the events coming up this school year.
Dancer Alastair Batchman ‘23 talks about the new dance show theme and says he’s “excited to see what our dances are going to be this year” and also says the “class is a lot bigger this year so it’ll be cool.”
New member Dakota Espinoza ‘23 says she’s “excited to dance with [her] friends….and all of the stunts and flips we get to do.” Espinoza also talks about the new show theme by saying, “the halftime shows at Superbowl are always fun so I hope we can recreate it.”
Emily Sullivan ‘23 says they “recently performed for homecoming” and now International is now working on the “Cowhide dance which has been a lot of fun but tons of work.” Sullivan adds, “the class size is definitely bigger but it has helped to have the group bond and get to know each other.”
New addition, Leon Alexander Verduzco 23’ says he is excited for the dance show. International dance gets “to dance with all the dance groups.” Verduzco “watched it last year and it was super cool.”
International dance has been working so hard on preparing for our Superbowl Halftime Dance show along with all of the events Redwood has to offer. International is super excited to have an amazing year and participate in all of the opportunities to show Redwood Spirit.
