Marileigh Coon ‘25 says, “So, we’ve been having so many club meetings, we had some speaking competitions in October, and our fair was in September!”

Every year in FFA, they have a big event called, Hobo Stew, where everyone can bring cans of soup and get to eat together, making wonderful memories!

“We will be having our Hobo Stew FFA meeting, that’s happening this Wednesday.” Says Carter Cook ‘26.

Coon says, “We have a meeting on Wednesday, we’re doing our annual Hobo Stew meeting, where everyone brings cans of soup, we put it all in a pot, and enjoy soup together! This meeting is a big tradition for Redwood FFA, and everyone really likes it, so it’s a fun meeting that brings everyone together.”

Every month FFA has a member of the month, those Rangers are either in the AG or plant and animal science class. The students are chosen by Miss Vaeloz and Mr. Coon for all the hard work they have been doing! The members of the month are Julia Lima and Carter Cook for the month of November!

“So, every month we pick a student in Mr. Coon’s class and Miss Veloz’s class, it’s the people who’ve been doing outstanding work in class, just someone who works really well and we like to recognize them for that month!” Says Coon.

Cook says, “I’m in both AG classes, I got nominated in horticulture, which is plant and animal science, and I got nominated for good work ethic, and helping others. I’m glad I got it, Miss V [Miss Veloz] nominated me, she’s the horticulture teacher!”

Julia Lima ‘27 says, “I was really surprised that I got it because I’m a Freshman…I’m happy that I did get it because I put a lot of effort into the work that I did, because I was in the Opening and Closing competition, and we did another one [competition] here at Redwood and we got first place so I’m proud of that!”
