To finish off our last day of the homecoming spirit week tradition, the students of Redwood went all out! The final dress up was a Rangerland Redwood Spirit day based on this year’s Disneyland theme.

Zoe Silva 25´ really showed her school spirit today. She says her favorite part about spirit day is getting to dress up with her friends and have fun.

Due to Covid-19, school has been a little different.

Silva says that this year’s spirit week was affected due to wearing masks because no one was able to do face paint or makeup.

Makaylin Batti 22´ is a senior at redwood high school. Since it is her last year as a ranger, it was her last first spirit day.

Batti says she feels sad that it’s the last but also achieved because she never expected to get to this point so quickly.

Batti says her favorite part about spirit day is, ¨…that everyone comes together and we all become one and everybody participates…¨

Every student comes together like a big ranger family to show spirit and support for our school, homecoming nominees, and the big homecoming football game.

Along with many others, Aaliyah Guerrero, 25´ showed her school spirit. Guerrero says her favorite part about spirit day is people participating and seeing the cool outfits.

Guerrero adds she has fun at school when they get to dress up because everyone is having a good time.

Everyone at Redwood rocked their superfan shirts and other blue attire.

Even though times have changed and it may not be the same since Covid-19, the Redwood students made the best of it.

Chloe Seals 25´ is very involved with school and other activities.

Seals says  ¨I’ve really enjoyed my time as a ranger so far and I love Redwood’s environment and energy where everyone is excited to participate throughout the week. I wanted to show my school spirit though the dress up day.¨

Many students enjoyed participating in spirit day because it is so inclusive and uniting.
