Devyn Castaneda ‘24 says, “My friend Brooklyn is the one who’s hosting it and she inspired me to be in the club. ”
This drive would like donations like, towels, twin-sized bedding, pillows, and pillowcases. Redwood students are hoping that this will make a positive impact on their community.
April Redden ‘26 says, “Well, I just want to help out as much as I can. I joined the club because of my friend and I really like the causes that she is pursuing.”
“Hopefully, it will spread awareness to everyone and show that we actually care about domestic violence,” says, Castaneda
The main goal of the club is to spread awareness about domestic violence, and show that Redwood students care about this cause.
“Well, it’s pretty easy. I think we just, we’re donating and getting whatever we can to Miss Buchanan’s or Mr. Mata’s office if you want to donate anything and anyone could help out.” Redden says.
This shows his support for the cause. It’s great to see how simple actions like donating can make a big impact. Andres is setting a good example of being supportive and a community member.
Devyn says, “This is helping athletic impact because it shows that athletes can make an impact in the world not just on their own sport but also spread awareness and be a part of something that’s serious and inspiring.”
