On Wednesday, November 9th, boys water polo closes their season after a loss against Clovis West. It occurred in the semi-finals for the central section title in Division 2. The ending score was 14-8.

Although the boys weren’t able to continue on with their season and win a section title, they were still successful earlier in the season. Ben Dwelle ‘24 says, “In the end we gave it our all as a team, and left everything in the pool.”

To find the positive and end on a good note, Jake Chambers ‘23 says, “I think that it’s amazing how far we made it. Despite all odds stacked against us, we found a way to power through.”

Dwelle and Chambers had similar thoughts as David Ross ‘25 on why they were able to make it as far as they did in the season. Ross says, “The main thing that we did to make it this far was our teamwork and how well we play with each other.”

Chambers says, “We knew we lot a lot of talent last year, but we worked our butts off and it really paid off.”

Despite their loss, the boys still had an incredible and memorable season. Dwelle says, “It was by far one of my favorite seasons of water polo I’ve ever played, thanks to all the players and the coaches.”
