On February 26th, boys golf competed against Bullard and although they did not win, they finished the match strongly. They started off excited for the first match of the season and were confident in their skills before the match even started. After lots of practice and time dedicated to getting better during the pre-season, they finally got to showcase what they have been working on.

Justin Johnson ’21, before the match, was feeling that they would all do really well because he feels that they have some really good golfers and they know how to handle under pressure.

Tyler de Asis ’19, stated “I felt I could have done a lot better, I was a little nervous in the beginning because it was the first match and all.” Although he ended up shooting a 39 overall, he still has a lot of hope for the rest of season and room plus time for improvement.

Coach Lonnie de Asis puts together a sophomore team for particular matches which make up the backbone of the team. Johnson in particular was very confident beforehand and that showed on the course. Jack Peters ’21, stood out to many players due to his strong plays and overall game.
