Audition’s for Space Princess Wars are arriving quickly. Stacy Galvan, the Theater Director encourages students to participate in the extracurricular activity.
Redwood’s Fall Play, produced by Theater Director, Stacy Galvan, occurs only once a year, within Fall. This year, the Fall Play is coming fast and hot, with auditions and callbacks landing on August 23rd and August 25th.
Space Princess Wars, a “Star Wars and Princess Bride collision” according to the Theater Director. If either of those things are to your taste, this year’s Fall Play will be right up your alley.
The Fall Play is “open to any Redwood student,” Galvan said. The Theater Director encourages students to “come check out the show.”
In order to participate in the auditions, students should swing by the Drama room, room 15 on Sierra Vista, to pick up an audition packet.
The auditions are at 6 pm on the 23rd and 4 pm on the 24th in the Drama room.
On the 25th at 4 pm callbacks will be happening, which will be there to properly assess which parts in the Fall Play will most effectively fit which students.
To prepare for the Fall Play, students will perform three monologues back-to-back at one of the auditions. Students are not required to memorize the monologues, and the Theater Director states, “I’m looking for characterization.”
According to the Theater Director, “The Show will be Oct 5th, 6th, and 8th. There is a home football game on Oct 7, so we won’t perform that night.”
