Kai Preisendorf, ‘24, is not only a member of redwood football, but a varsity captain. He has been playing football for 5 years and plans to hopefully continue going into college.

Preisendorf reveals that before getting into football he, “played soccer for a while, then my team got split because of age requirements so that’s when I thought I would give football a try, because my dad played in college.

Preisendorf says, “ I would love to play for Fresno State because that’s where my dad went and everything and it’s close to home. But if not I’ve also been able to look at UC Davis which is also pretty good which is also in california.”

Over the spring he visited Washington State and visited their campus and said, “I took a visit up there and stuff and it was a wonderful campus, I loved the place.” Preisendorf explains how he would like to keep his options open for college ball, and at the moment he just wants to focus on his redwood season.

When asked about his strategy for the rest of his season he says, “take one week at a time and just focus on that.”
