Bella Garrett, ‘26, originally auditioned for The Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat and landed the role of Alice in the play.

When asked how she feels about the role that she got, she said,” I’m really excited and it was definitely really unexpected because I didn’t originally audition for her, but I’m really excited and I know it’s a lot to take on.”

She is really excited to work with all the other people in the cast since she has already met them a couple of times.

Garrette says, “I think it’s really cool, it’s going to be a lot of fun, I think it’s going to be produced well, the play overall is an interesting story.”

Amelia Fultz, ‘26, who didn’t audition for any specific character in the play, landed the role of one of the flower girls.

Fultz says that she is really proud of herself and that she is super excited about the play. She is also really excited to have the opportunity to perform on stage.

When asked about what she was most excited about in the play overall, she says she is most excited about, “working with other people, I think it’s always super fun, and it’s really fun to put a performance for other people and make them smile”

She closes off with, “Go see Alice in Wonderland”

Jacob Lucio, ‘24, who originally auditioned for the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat, landed the role of Mad Hatter.

When asked how he felt about the role that he landed, he says, “I’m really excited because this is a really fun character” and it’s really different from what he would play.

When he was asked about what he is most excited about playing his role, he says, “Getting to act crazy on stage I think is the most exciting about this role”

“I’m really excited about this year’s fall play because I haven’t done it in a few years and I think it’s going to be a real fun experience”

Lydia Castillo, ‘26, says, “I was originally going for the Duchess as a small role, nothing big, but when I did my monologue, she said it was difficult to find a place for you, but I think I know where you stand, and I ended up being the Queen of hearts”

Castillo says, “At first I was thinking like no way, but it was the real deal”

Castillo describes the Queen of Hearts as “the total opposite” of the Duchess. “She’s like a diva, she’s always yelling at people and I love playing villains because they are so much fun to exaggerate and I love playing a character that is the complete opposite of me.”

What she is most excited about in the play is figuring out the costumes and seeing how everyone comes together and interacts with one another, how she interacts with them as well.
