Bass Persuades:

The first song on the album is Bass Persuades, a high-beat song about letting go of inhibitions and not caring about what others think. Cyrus also talks about letting the rhythm/bass of her song pull you onto the dance floor. The lyric “You want to lose yourself to this” signifies that the person being talked to in the song is starting to not care about what others think and letting themself be pulled into the rhythm.

Different Religion

Different Religion is the second song in Miley’s Album and one of the two collaborative songs in the album. It’s about a Physical desire and longing for a partner and treating them with absolute devotion, which is usually reserved for a god, hence the song name “Different Religion”. The lyric “My faith is his hard body, cracked leather” shows this longing and devotion for said significant other.

Let’s Get Married

Let’s Get Married is the third song of the album. The song is a bit slower than the first two, but it’s still a bit up beat. It’s about her fiancé, Maxx Morando, and her excitement for their upcoming wedding. Cyrus sings about wanting to run off together. Her lyric: “What did I do to deserve you?” Showing the love and devotion between her and her fiancé.

Orbit

Orbit is the fourth song on the album. This song is also quite slow and is also inspired by Cyrus’ fiancé. It’s about feeling an intense connection/gravitational pull towards a significant other, or in her case, her fiancé. The song as a whole is sort of a space/Nature-like theme, as she describes her relationship with her fiancé, Maxx Morando.

Aftermath

Aftermath, the fifth song on the album. This song starts slow, but after a few seconds it switches to a high-beat electro-pop song. Aftermath is about the aftermath of a past relationship. The song covers longing, loss, and Disillusionment, but it masks it under the electro-pop beat of the song.

REDLIGHTS

REDLIGHTS is the sixth on the album. This song is A slow disco, dance-pop song. Some fans think it kind of has a similar rhythm to “Jolene” By Dolly Parton, her late godmother. This song is about the bittersweet duality of heartbreak. In the song, Cyrus talks about the fear of heartbreak and losing someone, but later accepting the end of the relationship.

Neon Signs

The seventh song of the album. Neon Signs Sultry pop song duet by Miley Cyrus and Andrew Wyatt. In the song, Cyrus talks about being the source of someone’s comfort, even if they may be an ideal or conventional match on the surface. The song as a whole is supposed to give the idea of a late-night call, especially with the spoken conversation between Cyrus and Wyatt towards the end of the song.

Innocent Ways

The eighth song of the album. Innocent Ways is said to be written about Cyrus’ own little sister, Noah Cyrus. The main meaning of the song is the complexity of sibling relationships, the hardships of family fame, and the desire to protect a loved one from pain. Cyrus in the song later realizes she can’t shield her sister from the harsh reality of the world.

Snow

Snow is another slower song on the album; it’s about the feeling of being completely in a peaceful, private, intimate moment of deep commitment. The song describes an engagement, as said in her lyrics, “your knee’s in the dirt as I hold out my left”. In whole, the song describes a life-altering moment of commitment and love.

Bass Persuades Remixx

Bass Persuades Remixx, As said in the name suggests, is a Remix of the first song on the album.

Smile

Smile, the bonus track and eleventh song of the album. This song mainly focuses on love and Devotion, and like a few of the songs on this album, this song on the Bass Persuades album is also heavily inspired by her fiancé. In the song, Cyrus talks about how just a smile from her partner alters her mood, lifts her spirits, and changes her perspective on life.

All in all, this album mainly covers some family struggles, emotional security, self-love, and a bit of inspiration from Cyrus fiancé.
