Redwoods’ fall play is around the corner, and the cast is getting ready for opening night.
After tense auditions, some of the cast share how they feel their auditions went and how they’re going to prepare for the upcoming play on october 7th, 2026.
Sarita Soeng, ’29, says she felt confident while auditioning, knowing that her peers who auditioned with her would support each other.
She also says she felt a bit disappointed about the role she got, but she knows the role she wanted went to other talented students, who deserve them.
Audrey Brown, ’29, says she’s happy and excited about playing the role of the Old Lady stand-in.
And says that Ms. Galvan told her, ‘You can’t run a show without them’, and she’s right; many plays and/or musicals can’t go on without a specific character.
Brown, ’29, hopes to see tons of friends and family there and for everyone to come see the play.
Brenna Long, ’28, who had never auditioned until this year, says she’s super excited about the play and the role she got; a lot of the cast is happy/excited about their roles. “I was not expecting to get one of the leads, and I did”, said Long ’28
She’s super excited about performing the Role of ‘Arial,’ and she said she’ll go over the material and study it for her role.
All these young ladies are very excited to act out their roles for the fall play, and they hope to see tons of family, friends, and supporters come and watch their amazing performances on stage.
“Break a leg, everyone!” Soeng, ’29
