Welcome back Rangers and readers! This morning Redwood opened doors to brand new faces and welcomed in around 680 freshmen at their orientation. Link Crew led by Mrs. Wall were able to help ease the transition from middle school to high school with games, campus tours, and a big BBQ to end the day.
Students received their schedules, ID’s, textbooks, and had the chance to get their yearbooks, ASB stickers, and PE clothes. The day went smoothly and many new friendships were formed with hope and a fresh new start as they embark on the next four years here at Redwood. No matter what school these students each came from, they are now all a part of the Ranger family as Jada Griffith, ’20, the current ASB President, strongly emphasized in their welcome speeches to the class of ’23.
With sophomore, junior, and senior roundup being yesterday, everything is set into place for a great 2019-2020 school year. And to close as Mrs. Wall sent off the new kids on campus, she was telling the students to make sure to invest in the next four years because you only get out as much as you put in.
