Redwood Women’s volleyball has always been good, but they have really stepped it up lately by having a streak of 24 wins. As the Ranger’s head to playoffs, they seem excited and ready to play to the best of their ability.

Aleena Sanchez, ‘22, is a varsity volleyball player. She says, “I believe my team gets along well on and off the court, we are best friends and it really helps when it comes to playing. Not only does the team have a close relationship with each other, but they are an unstoppable force! Sanchez goes on to say, “Practice is key and being prepared so we can work on our techniques. We need to try and perfect everything we can.”

Kaylyn Cabanas, ‘22, says, “The team has done an outstanding job this year, we are undefeated WYL champions. We are all so grateful to even have a season this year due to covid.” Even with an unstoppable team, there is always room for improvement. Cabanas says, “Improvement can be made from fixing a mistake from a previous game or practice.”

Redwood has a history of good volleyball playing, but this year the playing is exceptional. Cabanas and Sanchez both believe that their team this year in particular is fantastic. Sanchez says, “I feel like my team is doing great! We are 24-0 so far.” Cabanas follows up by saying, “The team has just done an outstanding job this year.”

Per usual, Redwood is doing incredibly well in sports, and volleyball is no exception. Keep it up Lady Rangers!
