Nigeria, the country in Africa where I am from, is a wonderful place. It’s a place where a person can have fun all the time at any time of the day.
I really enjoyed my stay in Nigeria. I could hardly sleep because I was so excited, even though we had a little setback. It was still a blast and I would define my travel to Africa as “crazy”, I don’t think I got a lot of sleep, I usually went to bed about 1 am, and it was so much fun because we were celebrating the life of an icon, my grandpa Golden Dad.
We went to Lagos state . When we arrived, we stayed in a hotel. Our family that lives close to the airport in Lagos came to meet is in the hotel.

The next day we all started another journey to Benin City. We stopped at Mid-Place to eat and relax.
Ore is a city for people who travel by trailers, van pool, and cars In Africa it is always hot, and I forgot about winter in California, since it’s on the equator over there.

We arrived home and families from different parts were already there. It got so crazy we lost track of time. During the celebration close to a thousand people came. There were people we new and did not know. It was crazy. I lost count there were so many people.
I know I said my grandpa passed away. You may think it’s weird that we were celebrating. But in Africa we celebrate icons that pass. They left a legacy behind so we like to go wild and celebrate because they have no regrets, and no one is expected to cry.
That’s my trip to Africa.
