When homecoming nominee, Jada Griffith, 21′, realized she had made top five she was “very excited and felt honored to be apart of Redwood’s tradition.”
Nominated by Redwood’s ASB, Jada finds herself very busy with her many extracurricular activities. She is Redwood’s ASB President and is involved in water polo. When she is not occupied with sports, Jada stays busy with her large involvement in Redwood’s clubs. The nominee is in BSU, Rally Club, ASB, Surf Club, and Spy Club.
As she prepares for this Friday, Jada exclaims that the best part about being apart of the top five is the “fun activities everyone gets to be involved in,” stating she “loves the amount of spirit all of Redwood has during dress up week.”
Throughout this experience Griffith, believes it “has been a complete honor, and a dream come true.” She can not wait for the fun to continue and is already hyped up for the Homecoming game coming this Friday.
Jada’s escort, Joshua Gilcrest, 21′, shares the same excitement for this week as the nominee herself. His excitement was generated by the nominee herself for her unique ability “to not fit a category. She is all around so fun and awesome and so in love with Redwood.” In Josh’s opinion, Jada stands out from the other nominees because she is involved with everyone stating “It is so refreshing to see a person so engaged with everyone, she goes and talks to all the freshmen during lunch literally every day.” Along with Jada, Josh has loved this opportunity to be involved with Redwood’s tradition.
When asked about Jada, ASB advisor, Mrs. Aston, exclaims that Jada was a great candidate for top 5 because her school spirit is unmatchable.
Everyday Jada is proud to be a Redwood Ranger and her love for this school is portrayed through all the work she puts in for this class. “Her ability to be happy all the time” allows her to work well with others as well as keeping a positive attitude even on her worst day. Everyday Jada thrives to keep the Redwood tradition alive.
