Lately, there has been some drama rising up very fast in the beauty community on Youtube. Just to name a few, Jeffree Star, Manny Mua, and Laura Lee, are the main ones being blasted the most on social media.
Recently, another Youtube star, Shane Dawson came out with a 5 part series going into detail of the “Life of Jeffree Star” and they each have over 10 million views. Jeffree Star is known for having a controversial past and Shane dug deep to get every aspect of Jeffree’s life and what he has done to correct or has hidden in his past.
Most people have forgiven Jeffree after they saw that he’s just a regular human too and he has done things that aren’t the best but he’s corrected them after the backlash he got.
During the whole series, Shane Dawson dove deeper into Jeffree’s past life before Youtube and saw that he was passionate about music. He had other dreams than becoming a Youtuber and creating a huge makeup line.
Jeffree keeps most of his business to himself and doesn’t go around social media showing any of the behind the scenes of Jeffree Star Cosmetics. That shows he’s humble and he takes his business seriously.
On the other hand, Laura Lee is a whole other mess with her apology video because people could see right past her fake tears and her half written speech, which most people didn’t take seriously enough to forgive and forget.
She had a major deal with Morphe and even had her own makeup line at Ulta, which had been terminated since her problematic tweets have been resurfaced on Twitter and Instagram.
Laura Lee has not been recently active on social media after posting her video and is laying low until she thinks people will forget about it and then go back to the way things were.
