Redwood has started strong to begin the season with two straight home games, the first being a 42-14 blowout win against Dinuba on August 21st, and a 10-0 close win against Kingsburg on August 28th.
Now they pack their bags and load the buses as this week they head to Groppetti Automotive Visalia Community Center to take on El Diamante this Friday, September 4th at 7:30.
Redwood goes in 2-0 and looks to expand their winning streak as El-D is still searching for their first win of the season.
Oliver Richardson, ‘27, said, “I’m excited for another win. I think we will dominate like we always do.”

Kingsburg in the Mineral King Bowl
The players are really confident and are ready to dominate on all sides of the ball, especially Richardson, who is coming off of a 116-yard game performance against Kingsburg.
Richardson said, “The same mindset we had going into these other games that we are better than every other team.”
Having that mindset every game, quarter to quarter, will help the team dominate every snap.
The players certainly have grown together as not just a team but as brothers on the field.
London Butler, ‘27, said, “I feel like we came together, we communicated more and just did better together.”
After a shaky start to the season, lack of communication, and many mistakes in the first game, the players have started to grow together. They have the potential to do a lot of damage on the gridiron, and we will be able to see that Friday night.

The players are certainly excited for this matchup again; they are looking to extend the win streak to 3-0, and El Diamante stands in the way.
In this game, the players are going at full speed; they are very excited and determined to win against El D.
They are extremely confident that they’re going to win, with them bonding more, team chemistry getting better, and they are heading into this game with a very strong mindset.
Butler said, “We are not taking this game lightly and [we are] going to go out there and give it our all.”
