Numerous women’s golf starters express happiness for this ongoing season.

Breann Branch, ’27

Breann Branch ’27 is a starter women’s varsity golf, who has been playing for, “over a year and a half.”

She says, “My dad’s been playing golf for a while and I just went out with him one time and it clicked for me and I kind of decided that this is what I want to do.”

When asked what her goals are she says that, ” [she] hopes to get a lower score and improve [her] golf game, improve [her] contact. And make sure that she is better for next season and the seasons to come after.”

Branch talks about how excited she is to, “develop better friendships on the team and continue further into the season”.

Sami Castillo ’26 with experience at, “a young age” agrees with Branch, she says that her, “dad was just going out and then [she] started going out and [she] enjoyed it”.

Castillo hopes to see herself grow as a player in the future.

She says that,”the bond on the team is good, and very friendly”.

Castillo hopes to “get better and just to work harder”.

Ava Ledezma, ’26

Ava Ledezma ’26 has been playing, “ever since [she] was little probably since [she] was five”.

Ledezma explains her enjoyment of how the bond on the team is, “really nice, [she] thinks [they] get along very well and [they’re] able to all talk to each other”.

Ledezma is happy with how practices are going so far she says, “I like the practices because they are never too long and I feel like it’s just what each of us needs.”

Luciana Taylor, ’26

Luciana Taylor ’26 has the commitment and can’t wait to improve. Taylor says how the partnership of the team, “Is really good, and we are such a positive group.”

She loves how there is not, “much competition between the team so we are just more happy and welcoming with each other.”

The friendship on the team pushes Taylor to do her best and to see herself grow this season.

She is excited for, “all of the upcoming games because it is really fun, we eat lunch together and talk to the other kids from other groups, and it’s is a long game that usually lasts four to eight hours”.
